“Unity’s Birds – Enjoy Them Year-Round.”

Wednesday December 13 @ 6:30pm.

Do you notice which birds visit your central Maine yard or woodlot? Have you observed that the birds you see change in numbers and species throughout the year? Our local bird guide, Tom Aversa, will lead us in an evening of fun and exploration, teaching us about which birds call Central Maine home.  He coordinates the Unity Christmas Bird Count, which takes place soon after his talk, so he will spend some time sharing what to watch for locally in the coming winter months.

Tom enjoys birds obsessively year-round in the Unity area while sometimes teaching wildlife courses at Unity College. He has studied our avian friends for 50 years and has penned several books on birds of the Pacific Northwest.

  • The programs are open to the public. A $5.00 donation is suggested. They take place on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at 93 Main Coffee Shop, 93 Main St., Unity. For more information, please contact info@sebasticookrlt.org or 948-3766.
