The Freedom Forest Preserve offers a walking trail through mixed woods marked by rock outcroppings and abundant vernal pools.  These temporary pools are teeming with life each spring, crowded with wood frogs, spotted and blue-spotted salamanders who rely on the pools for breeding.   The property is closed to hunting and motorized vehicles.  Here is a trail map.

This land was generously donated by Jane Fasullo in 2013.
