A trail built by community and Unity College volunteers winds through forested wetlands, woods and old fields.  A wintertime spur trail provides access to the Bog, a high-quality example of a “raised-level bog” ecosystem.   The property is closed to hunting and motorized vehicles, with the exception of snowmobiles in winter on the approved trail.  Here is a trail map.

The 189-acre Kanokolus Bog Preserve was donated by the Packard Family of Unity in 2011 to protect its wildlife and to create a safe place to enjoy the woods year-round.
