Gerry Saunders grew up in Nebraska and moved to Unity in 2006. Professionally he has taught at the secondary and college levels and has degrees in ecology and education from the University of Idaho and University of Nebraska. Gerry retired from Unity College in 2014. For recreation, he is a confirmed water rat, particularly enjoying mucking about in streams and wetlands, canoeing and building canoes and kayaks for friends.
