About The Event
Join the Sebasticook Regional Land Trust on a paddling trip around the Pleasant Lake Preserve in Stetson. Gifted to SRLT in 2010 by Kent Hewitt, “the Cape” of 3-mile long Pleasant Lake offers a well-maintained trail system, wonderful bird-watching opportunities, and exploration of diverse woodland and shoreline habitats. Co-led by Pittsfield resident and avid water recreationist Bill Cunningham and Cheryl Daigle, SRLT executive director.
We will leave the Stetson Boat Launch at 10 AM and paddle around the Cape to explore the Pleasant Lake Preserve shoreline. When we stop for a picnic lunch we will take time to walk along one of the beautiful trails on the preserve. The length of the paddle depends on group interest, but we anticipate a 3-hour excursion. There are no restrooms at the boat launch.
