About The Event

Since the removal of Edwards Dam millions of alewives have been able to swim up the Sebasticook to spawn.  A festival celebrating the spectacular run, sponsored by the town of Benton,  returns after being put on hold by the pandemic the last three years.  Join us and see huge numbers of the silvery fish as they arrive at Benton Falls fish lift.  Watch the harvesting process and enjoy food, music and children’s activities.
