Fowler Bog Preserve Volunteer Workday

Join SLRT for a volunteer workday at Fowler Bog Preserve! We are working on implementing recommendations to improve wildlife habitat on several old timber landings. On this day we will clear areas of the access road along with one timber landing to reset it to early successional growth. It’s a great chance to see this conserved woodland and learn about improving habitat for Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock. Our timber landings are located along access roads leading into the preserve. The work will partly focus on cutting back overgrowth into the access roads. There will be a variety of tasks, both light and some more strenuous. We hope to see you - our crew works hard while enjoying a sense of camaraderie out in our special natural areas!
