About The Event
The Richardson Memorial Preserve features grasslands, working woodlands, streamside trails - a mosaic of habitats that support a wide variety of wildlife and plant species. For this program led by Maine Master Naturalist volunteers Mary Ellen Dennis and Cyrene Slegona, we will explore the edges of grasslands and nearby woods for beneficial flowering, native plants that support pollinating insects and a healthy ecosystem. SRLT Director Cheryl Daigle will also be on hand to talk about grassland and woodlands management and research projects underway at this special preserve in Unity. Directions from downtown Unity to Richardson Memorial Preserve:
