About The Event
Learn about the remarkable biological diversity found in wildlife species and habitat in the Sebasticook River Watershed and about SRLT's collaborative conservation efforts. Phillip deMaynadier is a wildlife biologist at the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife where he supervises efforts to survey, research, and conserve nongame and endangered species. He received his doctorate in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine, where he serves on the graduate faculty. Phillip is one of the original co-founders of the Sebasticook Regional Land Trust (then the Friends of Unity Wetlands) and served as its first board chair. Having authored over fifty scientific publications, much of Phillip’s professional attention is now focused on helping narrow the gap between conservation science and policy.
