About The Event

Join SRLT and Soil Scientist Ron Desrosiers to explore soils and landscape diversity in the Sebasticook Watershed.  This will be the first talk in an SRLT series of soil-focused talks meant to enrich your outings in the watershed. In this first talk, Ron will set the stage for the series by discussing the physical, chemical and biological properties of soils along with soil formation factors that have shaped our present day landscapes. He will bring props and samples that will enrich the discussion.  Please bring your soil related questions and any soil analytical reports that you may have as he would be more than happy to review and interpret those findings with you.


Ron has worked with landowners, municipalities, and land trusts for over 25 years in developing conservation plans to meet the landowners’ objectives. He is particularly interested in the interface of plants/ soils and human interaction on any given…
