About The Event
Join the SRLT Volunteer Molly Thibeault and Chelsea Becker for an evening paddle to catch glimpses of wildlife, enjoy the evening breeze and celebrate the arrival of summer and the strawberry moon! We will put in from the Kanokolus boat ramp on Unity Pond. Following an easy paddle into the wetlands at the outlet of the lake, we will gather off the landing to watch the strawberry moon rise, welcoming Summer.
Special notes: this paddle will occur weather permitting. No make up date.
Wind speed must be below 7 mph, Beaufort Scale Force 2.
All participants must wear a PFD
Each canoe should have a headlamp or flashlight. Headlamp recommended.
Paddlers under age 16, must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants may provide their own snacks to enjoy while waiting for the moonrise.
Covid Restrictions and precautions will be strickly adhered to for the program
