About The Event
Among the familiar summer plants, insects and wildlife, who is still here in winter? Who is not? How do they respond to winter conditions? During our walk we will explore how these creatures adapt to winter. We will look for clues about that adaption. Join SRLT and Maine Master Naturalist Grace Bartlett for a walk (or snowshoe!) at the Pleasant Lake Preserve in Stetson. Gifted to SRLT in 2010 by Kent Hewitt, “the Cape” of 3-mile long Pleasant Lake offers a well-maintainted trail system, wonderful bird-watching opportunities, and exploration of diverse woodland and shoreline habitats.
